Calling All Galgos and Podencos
(lower mainland and Vancouver Island B.C.)

I first learned about the Galgo through a fellow pet photographer, Travis Patenaude of Stink Eye Photography. His photos are stunning! I knew about Greyhounds because they have always been my favourite dogs. Then I learned about Galgos and their plight, and knew that someday I would want to share my life with one and give them a better life than they had. Creating a book about Galgos and Podencos provides an opportunity to shed light on their history, showcase their distinctive qualities, and raise awareness about the challenges these beautiful dogs face. It is also a powerful way to advocate for their well-being, promote and fundraise for adoption, share heartwarming stories and portraits of their new life that connect with readers on an emotional level. I hope that you will join this journey with me.
From Spain to Canada is a fundraising book project. This gorgeous, hard cover coffee table book will showcase the beauty of the Galgo and Podenco (and maybe the goofy side too!) and also give back to the adoption groups that work so hard to find homes for them.
From Spain to Canada will be filled with heartfelt, natural images by Michele Wright of Furry Friends Photography and stories by the Galgo and Podenco's people.
Registration Details
With a $100 registration fee you will receive
-A professional photo session with Furry Friends Photography (normally $200)
-A 2 page spread in the book with your story and photos by Furry Friends Photography of your Galgo/Podenco (and some other goodies)
-50% of the registration fee will go back to EGPWC (Extraordinary Galgos and Podencos Western Canada)
-An ordering appointment to choose your favourite photos for some gorgeous wall art!
-10% of any purchases made at the ordering appointment will also go back to EGPWC, as well as $25 from all sales from the book.

-Sessions will start March 2024.
-Times and dates of sessions may be rescheduled due to weather etc. But don't worry, we will get it done!! :)
-If you are on the Island, we will discuss via email what dates I'll be coming over (there may be a couple of trips planned). Please book a date and time anyways and we'll be in touch to confirm a positive date and time.
-Registration fee is non refundable and does not include the price of the book itself.
-Please book your session on the Booking page and fill out the questionnaire after you register.
-From Spain to Canada will be released 2025. Presale will be announced (registrants will be first in line for presale price).
